hey all here is a fun sketch I did last night, this is a vector illustration I did of Catwoman. This was done for the Challengers Assemble Sketch blog, this weeks theme was a" What would comic book characters look like if they had corporate sponsors". This is catwoman sponsored by sanrio i.e hello kitty. You can check out more cool art at the blog.

Do you mind a slight critique? First off, overall very nice. I love the curls and the lettering. The one complaint I have is about the pink silhouette. Her upper body is too heavily muscled to look feminine and her head should be a tad larger. Women have heads that are larger in proportion to their bodies than men do and less pronounced muscles. The way you've drawn her, from the waist up, she looks like a man with boobs. The black silhouette is great, as is the rest of the design. It's just that pink figure that didn't come out quite right. :)

yeah that's a fair critique and all true.
I would point out that catwoman is a superhero and hyper athletic if you look at female olympic level gymnasts, pro wreslers and pro athletes they have much more beefy and muscular body types. Also all superheros are cartoons by nature, so they are not true representations of real people. The catwoman I was trying to create is really a mash up of a female porn star ( i.e. big boobs) and female pro-wrestler or gymnast (I.e big shoulders and thick muscles.

I'm not trying to argue with you. I just stating my mind set and what was my vision was for this character in the image. Also all of your points are correct, I just had a different vision.

Yeah, I know that superheroes have exaggerated muscles, even the women. But, less so with the women. Catwoman, in particular, isn't drawn all muscley. She leans more toward the lithe porn star than the bodybuilder woman. I have a fair number of catwoman comics to back me up. :) Even if you keep the heavily muscled look, just making her head a bit larger will make her look more feminine. But it's your drawing. :) I'm just offering suggestions.
