Love this art, you are incredibly talented. Any tips on how you created this would be amazing for me right now. I'm in the beginning stages of creating my own web comic and the hardest thing for me right now is learning how to patch all the individual drawings together and letter them in a way that doesn't look cluttery or awkward. I'm going to go read the rest of your comic now, thanks for providing the link. You're getting a watch and a fav from me!
hey cool! the best info I can give you on creating and doing comics web or other wise, is check out the books Understanding comics by Scott Mccloud, Panel discussions by Durwin Talon, and the DC guide to lettering and coloring comics. Also alot of this info can be found in the tech areas of forums like penciljack.com, and drawing board.org. My personal process is usually like this: I sit down and write a plot/script where I work out the story and dialogue, then I do thumbnail roughs of the page layouts(this is were I work out pg design panel flow as well as sfx and balloon placement. then I usually pencil the individual panels in blue pencil in my sketch book. The next stage is to scan the pencils (I scan my stuff in at 600 dpi its bigger than needed, because I work in photoshop at actual printed size, but my computer can take it) then I ink the the panels using either Painter or Manga studio. Onced inked I composite the panels into a pg template I have made in photoshop, also render elements in grayscale in photoshop. Once the page is rendered I switch to color mode then add colors in another layer again I'm working at 600 dpi. I then flatten the file and drop it down to 300 dpi and then open up illustrator and letter the pgs in that program. once lettered I can save in different file formats for either print or the web then I can upload the files. hope this helps
