Rachel Summers Phoenix by Tom Kelly

Hey all here is another cool illustration I did for the Sketch Lottery blog, this time the theme was "Rachel Summers". This theme refers to the Marvel comics X-men character of the same name, She first shows up in the book days of future past where she is the future daughter of cyclops and jean grey. Later on the the X-books books Rachel get the Phoenix force powers,. I did her Excalibur series cook book outfit and look its a great run drawn by Allen Davis go check it out if you get a chance.

I created this pen and ink using micron pens and a sable brush for the black parts. I then used FW red ink with a sable brush for the red areas.
